About Us

Early Years @ Lightcliffe is a committee run, non-profit making Preschool based in the Christ Church Centre on Leeds Road. Our aim is to provide a warm and welcoming environment where children can play, learn and develop to their full potential.

We offer preschool provision (Early Years), before school care, after school care (Older Years) in term time, as well as holiday provision (Holiday Club) during school holidays.

At Early Years we welcome children from two years old to school age; children do not need to be potty trained. Children are able to participate in a range of imaginative play activities including water play, sand play, dough, role pay, drawing, painting and crafts etc...

​

We are well established and have been serving the local community since 1994. We are registered with Ofsted (registration number is EY303768).

​

The curriculum we follow is The Early Years Foundation Stage which is divided into three prime areas; Personal, Social and Emotional development; Communication and Language and Physical development and four specific areas; Expressive Arts and Design; Mathematics; Understanding the World and Literacy.

We have recently purchased the whole building and hire out our main hall to local clubs, societies and birthday parties.
